The Chorriq Species

The Chorriq is a race of large, savage abominations. Looking for their spot on the top of the food chain, these insects devour weaker entities, constantly mutating and growing. They will eat anything wandering into their territories, but will remain peaceful as long as not engaging their areas directly.

Name: Chorriq
Size: Large; Around 1.9 meters tall. Weight ranges between 150 to 280 kgs.
Appearance: Generally, Chorriq resemble huge millipedes. Their purple skin, dotted in some areas in a reddish tone, give them a quite out-of-the-ordinary look, despite being huge insects. They possess larger, sharper claws, ready to cut deep into any enemy. Their lighter purple eyes grants them a partly night vision, having improved sight in darkness, but not a complete bypass of it.

Abilities: Chorriq, although having average movement speed and no significant skills, are talented in utilizing their deadly claws and teeth. Their needles, having the ability to cut deeply into mere flesh without almost any issue, display a major threat upon encountering them. If these are not enough, then their teeth, containing a toxic poison, can solve the problem- an accurate bite right into the flesh can cause fatal damage. But despite all of that, Chorriq are not very fast, and are very vulnerable to ranged attacks. Although being magical creatures in their nature, they have no resistance to it and cannot use it. They can also take a few hits from blades, but around the 10th swing they will be probably bleeding to death. They are also quite weak to frost, due to their natural habitats.
Society: Although being uncanny and mysterious, Chorriq behave quite logically when thinking about it. They eat others to survive, without any real offensive moves towards other races. There are enough animals and fruits around to exist in a species of giant millipedes, and that is enough for them. Expert beastmasters might be able to tame a Chorriq, if given enough medicine and treatment.
Habitats: Chorriq live mostly in desert and mountain areas. They are used to warmth so they tend to lurk around.
Background: Chorriq are the unintended result of an experiment made by a chemist. He was testing the poisons he was delivered by his private merchants on the tiny millipedes, planning to create and distribute a poison that eliminates rodents and insects to the population, growing a business and a personal wealth from it. Unfortunately for him, there was something wrong with the mixture, and the insects grew in size. Rapidly, they mutated in his laboratory until he couldn't contain them anymore. He let them free, making them creep from the small town right into the desert, where they began to populate and eventually expand to the mountains around. There is also a Chorriq queen which is known to observe and command Chorriq, giving everyone roles- from food gatherers to personal guards. It is unknown where she lives.

So, does their venom have an antidote? I don't want to let a lethal venom on to the site this early if it doesn't have an anti-venom

It's pretty hard to be bitten by them, given the fact that most individuals who fight them are probably smaller and quicker. But if someone does get bit, then yes, there is an antidote. It's a mixture of water, sugar, salt and oil, all in a small cup which should be immediately poured on the wound. These substances completely vaporize any poison cells, killing off any effects.
